Stewarts Cream of the Barley is a blended Scotch Whisky and was first produced in 1825 by Stewart & Sons of Dundee
As the label boasts this blend has one of the highest malt content of any blended Scotch whisky. (BNJ) is selected from some of the best distilleries in the Highlands, Lowlands and Islands of Scotland.
This is a blended Scotch Whisky which includes some of the finest Malt’s from Glenkinchie, Caol Ila, Inchgower, Dufftown and of course Blair Athol, the home of this grand dram.

This month there was no competition for blend of the month, we tasted this Whisky earlier and you should read Dougie and Jim’s report on Dewars Whisky.
There are many other things to say about this blend that was not said in our tasting review, such as Dewar’s only use the finest of Scotch Whiskies at their peak and somehow or other makes them better.
This Whisky named after the famous game bird (that hates the month of August) which resides amongst the moors and heathers of our fair land.
This blended Whisky uses the skills of Matthew Gloag and Son (a business that was founded away back in 1800)
