Hello there,  My name is Dougie Ferguson and I’m married to the delightful Catherine, who is also a lover of Whisky, but only of the “cooking variety” i.e. blended only.   I am the proud father of two drop dead gorgeous daughters and one wee dug.

I believe I am the real bright spark of this duo (due to my expertise as an electrical craftsman).  Currently for my sins I am at Heathrow, working on the new terminal 5 and unfortunately have to commute weekly.

Weekends usually begin with a flight home on a Friday, and later on, a game of pool with close friends which we call “The Bollocks League” followed by a well earned sleep snuggled up with my wife Catherine.

Like Jim, I also like to cook so we try to get together as often as possible to show off our culinary skills, as well as our latest “aperitifs”.

One of my other passions is golf, which I don’t get to do often enough, but thoroughly enjoy.  While on the golf course there is nothing better on a cold, crisp Scottish morning than having a wee sip from the ever ready hip flask.   At this point I would like to add that I completely whipped the ass of the other Whisky Boy who was sad when it came to playing golf, but exceptional when it came to the hip flask part. It is my intention in the future to play much more golf and drink many more drams from the old hip flask and let you know of which course suits which dram.

My wife and I also enjoy taking our Caravan around beautiful Scotland which allows us to visit many rural areas and sample not only the local cuisine, but the local pubs and Distilleries (when I say we I really mean me), so again I will be up dating you on our travels, experiences and the joys of meeting the locals ( in their local).

I tend to be always on the go – there is always something that needs doing, so I am the man to sort it or do it which makes it completely rational that at the end of the day I deserve a good dram or two.
