Malt Whisky Shops - Whisky Castle in Tomintoul

By Jim • Oct 9th, 2008 • Category: Whisky Shops & Pubs

Malt Whisky Shops worth a visit.

Are you going to Speyside, Aviemore, Inverness, Elgin, Peterhead, Banff, Kingussie, Nairn or visiting Culloden?  Then you must, must visit the Whisky Castle in Tomintoul.

If you are a Whisky drinker then you may think that you have died and gone to heaven, the selection is fantastic, the owner / manager is well versed and has many Whiskies available for tasting.

On my first visit there (May this year 2008) I could have stayed all day, just looking at the vast range of Whiskies, chewing the fat with the owner and chatting with the steady flow of customers.  And, as you would guess I did leave with the purchase of a bottle of single malt and a new water jug.

I cannot stress enough that this must be on your itinerary if you are visiting anywhere in the Speyside region.

One important note, make sure you give yourself enough time when visiting as you may be in the Whisky Castle for quite some time.
